Introduction
Every November, Alausi hosts a 12K race that starts in the neighboring village of Simbabe and ends in Alausi’s
main avenue. The race is one for both sports enthusiasts and observers, and is a cultural experience in and of
itself – it gathers thousands of participants (from little ones to local running heroes) and their families from the
surrounding villages. Whether as a participant, spectator, or cheerleader, you can partake in this fun event that
speaks to the tightly knit social fabric of our community.
